How a Lanyard Order Changes Hands

A lanyard order usually involves a few people. Each section below is written for one of them.

Q:Does the safety breakaway come included, and how is a buckle release different?

A:
The plastic safety breakaway comes with the lanyard. A buckle release is a different part you pay for separately, and orders start at 100.

Q:Do you ship to APO, FPO, and DPO addresses?

A:
Yes, those shipments cost extra. They go from the factory to our Florida office and then out by USPS military mail, while addresses in all 50 US states ship free and take about 2 business days.

If You Are Getting These Made

Send your insignia or seal with the wording you want, and put the date in that same request. Our US-based art team emails a free full-color proof. Revisions are unlimited, and nothing is charged until you approve the art and quote.

Count back from the date you need them.

We count back from this day to find when the proof should be approved and paid.

That does not look like a date. Try a format like 9/30/2027.

That day is already behind us. Enter the upcoming day the order must arrive.

Have the proof approved and paid, or the purchase order accepted, by

leaving 4 weeks for production and a week for shipping.

There is no faster production option for these. A rep can talk through the date with you before you order.

September 30 closes the federal fiscal year, and late summer is our busiest stretch, with offices ordering to use funds before the close. Veterans Day in November is another busy date. We can't guarantee a date for custom orders. Order early and include your event date in the quote request.

Once the proof looks right, send the quote to your approver.

Q:Is All About on a GSA Schedule?

A:
No, we are not on a GSA Multiple Award Schedule. Our UEI and CAGE code are on this page with the active SAM.gov status.

If You Approve the Purchase

The federal micro-purchase threshold rose from $10,000 to $15,000 on October 1, 2025 (FAR 2.101 and GSA SmartPay Smart Bulletin 002), and a Government Purchase Card is the preferred way to pay at or under that amount. The agency sets the single-purchase limit on each card, so the cardholder confirms their own limit with their Agency/Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC).

Two sample orders, both under $15,000:

An office orders ID badge lanyards with the safety breakaway. The quote total is $1,045.00.

If You Hold the Card

Once the proof and the quote are approved, pay at online checkout or call a rep with the quote number to pay by phone. Production starts when the payment goes through.

If You Pay by Purchase Order

A government entity can pay by purchase order, and so can a public school or a hospital.

  • Official letterhead
  • NET 30 terms
  • Total matches the quote
  • Signed by an authorized person
  • Names who handles payment
  • Email address for the invoice

Choose purchase order at checkout and upload it there, and production starts once we accept the PO.

If the Order Is Tax Exempt

In the sales tax section, choose Government Exemption and upload your exemption certificate in the field that opens so it stays on file with the order. Checkout recognizes a GSA SmartPay card and warns you before payment if sales tax is about to be charged.

Some agencies do not issue an exemption certificate, so send your rep the tax-exempt document the agency does use. We have to keep that paperwork with the order, and the tax comes off once it is there.

If You File the Paperwork

Finance staff and billing officials can download the signed W-9 and Section 889 form on this page. One vendor record covers an order from any of the four All About sites.

Signed W-9

A W-9 gives finance our legal name and taxpayer information, and this one for AA Coins & Pins LLC was signed in June 2026.

Section 889 Form

Signed in February 2026, it represents that we do not provide or use covered telecommunications equipment or services, and an agency can pull the FAR representations from SAM.gov with our UEI.

Q:Are All About Challenge Coins, Pins, Patches, and Lanyards the same company?

A:
Yes. AA Coins & Pins LLC, doing business as All About Challenge Coins, is the vendor behind all four sites.

When You Reorder This Design

Your plate stays on file, and so does the artwork. A reorder of the same design does not pay the plate setup again.

Let us know how the lanyard should look and when it is due.

We will send a proof back for you to look over.
